Our own AMAZING Eddie Landreth will be
giving our program for our January Guild Meeting.
Each meeting since Eddie joined our Guild he has
amazed us with a new Quilt. Eddie is going to bring
his beautiful collection of Quilts for a Trunk Showing
and tell us what got him interested in the Quilt World
that we all enjoy. Come in January to see and hear all
about Eddie and his Quilting!

8 :: Program - Charlotte Williams, Pinwheel Fabrics
Charlotte Williams, owner of Pinwheel Fabrics, will be our speaker. She’ll tell us how she got started quilting and also do a trunk show of a few of her quilts. Pinwheel will also be our vendor.

26-28 :: Arkansas Women on the Loose (AWOL) Quilt Retreat
C. A. Vines Arkansas 4-H Center in Ferndale, AR. Beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday
morning and go until 5 p.m. on Sunday. The whole weekend, with three per room, will run
about $185 – but we’ll have lots of “a la carte” options. The registration form can be found here. Yes – you can make payments, but no refunds will be given
after January 1st.

12 :: Program - Speed Dating
Four of our members will do 10 minute demonstrations of quilting techniques and the rest of us will rotate from station to station. The final few minutes will be a question and answer session. The presenters are Pat Wade – Machine Appliqué; Kathryn Kohlstedt – Tube Quilt; Leah Sample – Starch Appliqué Method; and Judy Tipton Rush – Machine Quilting on a Home Machine.

8 :: Shoppach House Historic Park - 4th Annual Quilt Exhibit & Open House
The fourth annual "Quilt Exhibit and Open House" will be held at the Shoppach House Historic Park in Benton on Saturday, May 8, from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Vintage quilts will be on display throughout the house, as well as in the Pilgrim Rest Church building which is also on the park grounds. Admission is free and open to the public. The park is located in downtown Benton at the corner of Military and Main.

15 :: Airing of the Quilts Quilt Show
The practice of airing the quilts continues with the 'Airing of the Quilts' Quilt Show to be held Saturday, May 15th from 9am to 5pm at historic sites in Greenwood, AR. New quilts and antique quilts will be on display. The quilt show is sponsored by the Alpha Delta Chapter of ESA with proceeds benefiting the South Sebastian County Historical Society. 12 :: Deb Karasik Class - Turning Over a New Leaf
This class is designed for beginners or quilters who have had some experience with paper piecing but who need more practice to feel comfortable with the technique. The class will take place in the Cambridge Place Meeting Room (located at Breckenridge & Pleasant Valley) from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm. Cost: $50 plus $15 class fee. 13 :: Deb Karasik Class - Ringo Star
Deb Karasik describes this quilt as beginner level. New paper piecers as well as quilters who have done a lot of paper piecing will enjoy this class. 12-13 :: Threads of Life Quilt Show
The 3rd Annual Threads of Life Quilt Show will be held in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Saturday, June 12, 9:00 - 4:00 and Sunday, June 13, 1:00 -4:00, at St. Bernards Auditorium, 500 E. Washington Avenue. This event is sponsored by

14 :: Program - Deb Karasik, co-author of “Quilt Mavens – Perfect Paper Piecing.”
If you love spiky quilts with lots of skinny points, you are sure to enjoy meeting Deb Karasik. In addition to lecturing and showing her quilts during the meeting, she will also be teaching her paper piecing techniques on Saturday, June 12 and Sunday, June 13. Pictures of the two projects and registration forms will be available at the February meeting. These six hour classes are sure to be lots of fun as well as very informative, so sign up early!
